Company Certificate Management
Company Certificate Management (CCM) is the Catena-X use case — standardized under CX-0135 — for the structured digital exchange of company certificates across the automotive value chain. Instead of chasing PDFs over email, you share certificates with your customers and review the certificates your own suppliers send you, all within one secure, sovereign network. It is the entry-level Catena-X use case, and the foundation most OEMs are asking suppliers to start with.

Volkswagen, BMW and Mercedes-Benz are making Catena-X the new standard for sovereign, secure data exchange across the automotive value chain. Company certificates such as IATF 16949 and VDA 6.4 are increasingly sourcing-critical — and the pressure has reached Tier-2 and SME suppliers on tight timelines. Certificate management under the CX-0135 standard is the entry-level use case OEMs like BMW are currently demanding first.
Since April 2025, Catena-X registration has been part of BMW Group’s procurement process — with quality and compliance certificates such as IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 set to be shared centrally through Catena-X, with one click, across all partners in the network.
Through the publicly funded Data Space Accelerator (IDSA), SMEs and Mid-Caps can receive up to €30,000 in compensation for onboarding to Catena-X with CCM and PCF.

CAPABILITIES

CCM in PACIFIC covers the full lifecycle — from uploading your own certificates to reviewing what your suppliers send you — using both the push and pull delivery mechanisms defined in CX-0135. And it’s self-explaining: a guided, intuitive interface your team can use straight away, with no training needed.
Maintain your company certificates — type, registration number, validity and enclosed sites — in one structured place, ready to share.
Grant partners pull access through the EDC catalog, or actively push a certificate to their endpoint — both fully aligned with the CX-0135 standard.
See every certificate your suppliers share with you, review the details, and send back an Accept or Reject status — directly over Catena-X.
Follow each certificate through its lifecycle — granted, pulled, received, accepted or rejected — with clear status pills and timestamps.
Incoming certificate requests appear as tasks, so nothing gets missed and your team can respond to OEM requests on time.
Encrypted exchange through your own or connected Eclipse Data Space Connector (EDC), with full ownership of your data at every step.
BUILT FOR SMES
You don’t need in-house data-space expertise or a dedicated IT project to get started. If you’d like, we can also handle your complete Catena-X onboarding for you.
PCF + CCM IN ONE PLATFORM
The same Catena-X-certified platform also calculates, manages and exchanges Product Carbon Footprints (PCF) — so you can cover both use cases with one solution. More about PACIFIC
